What counts as a credit?

One email to one recipient is one credit; an email with an attachment is two. Credits reset every month and don’t roll over.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free plan gives you 1,000 credits every month with every feature included, and no card is asked for.

Do you charge per contact?

No. Contacts are unlimited on every plan — you only pay for the emails you send.

How does the MCP server work?

Run one command to connect Volanea to Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client. Your agent can then check your project, create templates, segments, workflows, and webhooks, and verify its work with a test send. With a test key, nothing it sends is delivered.

Can I test without sending real email?

Yes. Test-mode keys render and log every message exactly as a live key would, and deliver nothing — so you can build against the real API safely.

How do I move from Resend, SendGrid, or Mailgun?

Each has a step-by-step migration guide that maps its API, webhooks, and templates onto Volanea.

Do you support SMTP?

An SMTP relay is coming soon. Today, everything sends through the HTTP API and our integrations, like the WordPress plugin.

What happens if my bounce rate spikes?

We warn you first, then slow sending, and only pause if it keeps climbing — so a bad import can’t burn your domain’s reputation. You see every step in the dashboard.
